Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater returns to Miami with new productions,
thrilling premieres and beloved audience favorites.
Two of Alvin Ailey’s most stirring works – Cry, dedicated “to all Black women everywhere, especially our mothers”
Three Black Kings, set to Duke Ellington’s last major score – return to the repertory.
Artistic Director Designate Robert Battle’s The Hunt and Christopher L. Huggins’sAnointed have their Miami debuts. Love Stories, Judith Jamison's dynamic collaboration with Battle and hip-hop pioneer Rennie Harris, brings the movement, energy and rhythm of African-American social dances to the stage. And at all five performances, celebrate 50 years of Mr. Ailey's masterpiece,Revelations, which continues to move audiences around the world with its powerful storytelling and soul-stirring music.
